Follows doctor's prescriptions and determines the need for referral to a specialist. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home may require a certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology (CCC) and is expected to meet certain state licensing requirements. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or director. Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.
