Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager manages the operations of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Establishes sampling and testing systems, and ensures proper testing of functionality of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager monitors federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines and creates and updates wastewater treatment procedures to adhere to those regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
