Job Description

160over90 is seeking an Account Manager who will be part of the dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day activation and servicing of a client's sports and entertainment sponsorship portfolio, including the global football (soccer) sponsorship portfolio. The position will report to the Account Director based in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the management, planning, coordination and execution of football sponsorship initiatives, contractual sponsorship fulfillment and asset management across all FIFA competitions
  • Interact with and provide day-to-day communication to client, its stakeholders, football entities, vendors and any other relevant parties involved in the exploitation of the global sponsorship
  • Participate in the development and implementation of football sponsorship initiatives against the established sponsorship criteria
  • Manage the client-vendor relationships and coordinate necessary activation and leveraging deliverables on behalf of client
  • Assist with global sponsorship servicing for client’s B2B partners
  • Assist with providing research deliverables to client relating to its product category and football sponsorships
  • Manage all creative sponsorship material approval processes
  • Assist with strategic and creative concept development
  • Support procurement and management of talent relationship and appearances
  • Manage sponsorship related administrational matters
  • Liaise/interface with external properties and internal 160over90 divisions as necessary to:
    • Evaluate sponsorship opportunities and help prepare sponsorship business plans
    • Work with client business units to help achieve sponsorship marketing objectives
    • Develop/implement programs on behalf of business units in connection to client's sponsorship platform


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of agency or client-based sponsorship account management experience in the sports and entertainment industries (specific disciplines could include, sponsorship marketing, event marketing, media sales and media buying).
  • Capable of managing multiple projects independently and diligently while delivering under time pressure towards pre-defined goals
  • Football (soccer) property experience and an understanding of the business of sports and entertainment, sports media and sports marketing/sponsorship
  • Prior experience in managing the development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy and activation on behalf of client or company
  • Prior experience managing day-to-day relationships with client, agency(s) and vendors
  • Practical experience with on-site event marketing operations and logistics
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and flexible team player with pro-active approach to think strategically and creatively
  • Prior experience managing day-to-day relationships with client, agency(s) and vendors
  • Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
