 What is the role and where can you add value?

The Pricing Manager will lead, monitor, and report on strategic pricing, promotions, and discounting initiatives for consumer and realtor divisions.  He/she must have a deep understanding of how pricing impacts revenue, customer count and profitability for a subscription based company.   This person must use data, insights, and a deep understanding of pricing best practices to lead pricing strategy, execution, and measurement while partnering with key stakeholders across the company including product, marketing and sales operations. 

 Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage B2C pricing, discounting and promotions for 3 business units
  • Work with sales and marketing to recommend and develop new pricing programs and promotions to drive new business and cross-sell / upsell opportunities
  • Conduct competitive and market research to support competitive pricing & positioning
  • Partners with Business Unit Leads to manage the execution of pricing initiatives
  • Responsible for management of pricing software, including serving as the primary liaison for internal engineering partners
  • Responsible for continuous process improvement, including the planning, performing, and implementing of process improvement initiatives related to pricing governance
  • Integrates information from multiple sources/resources and effectively communicates results
  • Identifies opportunities with key B2C segments, develops and presents pricing test proposals
  • Other duties as assigned

What skills and experience should you bring to this role?

  • A deep understanding of cost to acquire and deal economics
  • Experience testing price to refine sales, renewals, retention and elasticity by segment
  • Experience with lifetime value models
  • BS/BA in related discipline (e.g. Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering strongly preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills (including problem structuring, detailed analysis and recommendation development)
  • Strong financial analysis & modeling skills, ability to analyze and synthesize
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to write compelling presentations)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working on teams,
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Ability procure and clean data, to demonstrate an understanding of database management and to run SQL scripts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
