Privacy Compliance Specialist (Advertising/Marketing)
- Drives the agency’s strategic approach to privacy, including the vision, prioritization & execution strategy for building systems that enable compliance with all data regulations (including CCPA, GDPR)
- Serves as SME for the agency’s and clients’ privacy policies and use technical product knowledge combined with your knowledge of industry regulatory environment to create clarity on the interpretation of US and international regulations and ensure they are translated into requirements for all agency
- Supports Media and Technology teams in developing and incorporating privacy by design into data-driven product offerings and ensuring adoption of privacy practices in processes, services and solutions that are transparent, protect privacy and mitigate risk
- Maintains Data Maps
- Develops and administers privacy training and awareness program, including assessment modules
- Assists with internal audit, by administering appropriate monitoring and privacy compliance check ins; escalates matters to the Compliance team where needed
- Works with IT and Legal departments to respond to data breach incidents
- Contributes to cross-team POVs to provide to clients related to changing privacy landscape and its impact on marketing activities
The ideal candidate will have
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (Ad Tech or agency industry experience preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience on an organization’s senior privacy staff
- a deep understanding of U.S. and international data protection regulations, privacy paradigms, and privacy-enhancing technologies
- CIPP certification and CIPM or CIPT
- Expert working knowledge of digital media platforms centered around data onboard (i.e. LiveRamp, various DMPs, etc.)
- Familiarity with key digital media Ad Tech tools, such as Google Analytics 360, Display & Video 360, various ad servers, etc.
- Stays up to date on changing digital privacy regulations and updates (such as cookie deprecation, browser changes, data clean rooms, etc.)
