What We're Looking For:

2U is searching for a Product Manager to drive the evolution of our Admissions Systems. This individual will ensure all product initiatives are in line with the organization’s overall goals and strategy, and will work closely with the Pre-Enrollment portfolio leadership team and their business stakeholders to deliver business value by leveraging technology intelligently.  The ideal candidate shows the ability to think strategically and develop an expert understanding of the product’s customers and users, technology, business stakeholders, and market.  

You have a knack for detail and have experience designing systems that support complex business workflows such as financial services and insurance.  You worked previously as a product manager in a dynamic, fast-paced software development environment. You have exemplary communication skills and have experience influencing and motivating others.  You are able to work with business stakeholders to identify objectives and key results and work cross-functionally with your team to deliver technology solutions.  At 2U, you will work with a talented and passionate team that is focused on delivering outcomes for students and our University partners.  

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • End-to-end ownership of the product life cycle
  • Establish the vision for 2U’s admissions systems and drive towards its fruition through effective influence and planning
  • Maintain a holistic understanding of all of the business processes associated with the admissions lifecycle
  • Work with the pre-enrollment product lead to define and deliver on OKRs
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to Business Analysts and Engineers
  • Work cross-functionally with UX designers and researchers to understand customer needs and create seamless customer experiences
  • Consistent communication and collaboration with business stakeholders on strategic priorities and project deliverables
  • Guide product design, implementation, testing and maintenance of all new features and enhancements
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions and communicate insights to the organization

 Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in product management role and 3+ years experience in a related role
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of adapting communications to different audiences while maintaining a consistent message
  • Relationship management skills, specifically the ability to foster partnerships, motivate, and influence others
  • Effective decision-making ability following a process that assures all relevant information is taken into account
  • Proven ability to deliver on strategic objectives
  • Ability to analyze and draw insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Design experience and/or experience working with UX Designers and Researchers
  • Experience in Agile Software Development Methodologies  
  • Proven ability to learn a product landscape quickly
  • Judgement, vision, and drive to succeed
  • Experience in/knowledge of higher education marketing and admissions and the industry-standard technology that supports those processes a plus
