JOB SUMMARY

Ensurem is seeking an experienced SQL Server Developer. This position will serve as the primary contact for database operations. Ensurem operates cloud-scale distributed systems on AWS which power our internal services with numerous SaaS inputs. Our engineering culture can be summarized with one statement: People over process. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop SQL server database tables, views, procedures, functions etc.
• Troubleshoot highly complex SQL procedures and functions
• Perform database analysis and tuning, monitor performance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create custom views and provide ad hoc data support

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES

• Ability to deliver on commitments on a timely basis
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve problems and make decisions independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 - 5 years of experience working with SQL Server and in-depth knowledge of database design and constructs
• Must have experience with MS SQL Server Enterprise on Windows Server
• Experience with databases hosted on virtual machines on AWS
• Exposure to DBaaS technologies such as Amazon RDS
• Working knowledge of C# is a plus
