The Role

We are looking for an HR Specialist to join the 829 Studios People Team and help continue our exciting growth. Reporting to our Director of People and Culture, our ideal candidate has been a part of the full recruitment cycle, understands the digital marketing and agency space, has a creative, open mindset, solid instincts when talking with candidates, and is ready to roll up their sleeves in a collaborative envirornment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the development, execution, and continuous optimization of various training types - professional development, leadership, onboarding, and others a needed
  • Support sourcing and candidate development, and ensure a best-in-class candidate experience including job posting, job board mining, internet sourcing, social networking, employee referrals, Slack channel sourcing, and networking events
  • Coordinate the launch of semi-annual performance review process
  • Submit 829 to “Best Workplaces” list
  • Provide the HR team with support on projects as needed: help develop, implement, support, and review all HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems
  • Create process documentation in support HR, finance, and administration
  • Own and evolve the onboarding process for new hires - tech needs, tools and system access
  • Bring an optimistic, can-do approach to your work

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3 years of experience in HR or People Operations, ideally within an agency environment
  • Strong experience in relationship building with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with an aptitude for problem-solving and a positive attitude
  • Analytical thinker and a creative strategist to source, engage, and nurture prospective candidates
  • Familiarity with ATS (JazzHR, Greenhouse, etc.) and HRIS (Zenefits, BambooHR, etc.)
