Position Summary

As a Website Content Manager (also commonly known as a Producer), you possess a passion for collaboration, the creative process, and using technology to produce world-class websites. You’re familiar with how websites are built and have an eye for great-looking web page layouts. You’re comfortable working and communicating with cross-functional teams including strategy, design, and development. To succeed, you should be both a creative and technical advocate who can problem-solve in the most efficient way possible.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Produce WordPress, Shopify & Drupal websites. Add content (text, photos, and videos) to pages, construct menu/navigation systems, and integrate plugins. Ideally, you are a CMS guru who knows all of the ins-and-outs of producing websites.
  • Set SEO pp for success.  Add SEO schema and metadata to the website infrastructure.
  • Manage the client feedback process. Interpret client requests in order to route them accordingly.
  • Prioritize resources. Manage internal, partner, and client-side development teams including outlining their tasks, priorities, keeping them on time, and reviewing their progress.
  • Gather specs & write guides. Working as a conduit between our design/UX and development teams to create development guides, including functional requirements.
  • Participate in weekly allocation and roadmap meetings. Set up and manage necessary touchpoints between teams such as stand-ups, status, and hours review.  
  • Respond to and resolve technical issues as they arise.  Effectively handle risk and escalate when needed.
  • Improve the process.  Contribute to the development of methodologies, standards and best practices to streamline processes and create efficiencies for the production of digital work.

What You Won't Be Doing

  • Visually designing websites. You should have a working knowledge of the Adobe suite of products and/or Figma, but you will not be expected to design websites or interfaces.  We have an in-house design team that will drive the creative direction and creates assets when needed.
  • Coding websites. This position does not require development/coding expertise beyond the basics that are found in CMS editors.  We have an in-house development team that can help when things get technical – you just need to know enough to troubleshoot and communicate to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 4 years of digital agency experience as a Project Manager, Developer, Producer or comparable role creating impactful, well-crafted websites.
  • Experience in directing and participating in the full life cycle of a website build, including outlining functional specifications, scheduling and leading cross-functional teams, QA, bug resolution, and deployment.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills. You must be able to effectively communicate project goals and articulate the ideas behind the work we produce.
  • An understanding of integrated digital marketing and its various components.
  • Comfort using project management tools and spreadsheets.
