This position is responsible for overseeing the system engineering team while working with the senior engineering manager to ensure a great customer experience.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new and existing team members.
• Oversee team members work for quality assurance.
• Manage employee workloads to meet project deadlines.
• Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance.
• Assist Senior System Engineering Manager with ongoing projects and daily operations tasks.
• Provide solutions to advance and complex technical issues from internal business units.
• Monitor the A2 server farm for stability and take proactive and reactive measures to correct and prevent system issues.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot services such as Apache, MySQL, Exim and cPanel.
• Work closely with our monitoring, support and infrastructure teams to come up with best practices and ways to improve the existing infrastructure and new infrastructure build outs. 
• Build tools and solutions to automate recurring tasks.
• Write formal documentation on configuration standards, troubleshooting steps and infrastructure design.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of Linux (CentOS/RHEL) System Administrator experience in a web hosting environment.
• 2+ years of experience acting in a supervisory role for a highly technical organization.
• The ability to write advanced shell scripts to help automate routine tasks.
• Advanced knowledge with configuration management systems and the ability to write new modules and modify existing modules (salt).
• Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting software on the Linux command line.
• Advanced knowledge in web hosting software such as Apache, MySQL and Exim.
• The ability to work on a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work on your own or as a team in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
