Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) is a multimedia, service-focused communications and marketing operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, marketing, support and execution for AARP’s strategic business units. 

Summary

The Graphic Designer for Creative Services is responsible for executing print and digital graphic design solutions for national as well as local campaigns and initiatives that support the Association’s mission and goals. The designer is expected to engage in professional and consistent client service and will be expected to support the internal client service team with emphasis on communications, speed and accuracy. This position primarily supports state/community based projects.

Responsibilities
  • Working within a high capacity environment that emphasizes print production. This position works with all members of the AARP Brand Center of Excellence staff to support design/production needs of internal clients.
  • Design/Production include advertisements, brochures, corporate, identity, packaging, PowerPoint presentations, web banners, promotional displays, trade show booths and environmental signage.
  • Creates work that is delivered on time and on strategy.
Requirements
  • Requires a degree or related work experience in print graphic design, or related field.
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of relevant print design experience in a studio, agency or in-house department that supports multiple executions and high volume.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products to create Word and PowerPoint supported documents and templates.
  • Requires basic skills for business communications.
  • Team collaboration a must.
  • Ability to execute projects assigned from beginning to end with minimal supervision.
  • Successful candidates will possess strong project/time management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the graphic support of one of America’s iconic brands.
  • Understanding of web, digital, social media and mobile design a plus.
