As an intern, you will support the Member Value team in new business development efforts such as conducting company background briefs and market scans and participating with the team on outreach for new benefit development. A special focus of this position will be identifying key elements for deal terms, including user experience, key terms, digital implementation, and project management. We focus on the development of new member value around the needs and interests of members, including how they want to learn about and experience their benefits.
As an intern, you will also evaluate opportunities to leverage the capabilities within AARP to deliver maximum value and create strong business relationships. Knowledge in the areas of business, marketing, or strategy is primary. Additional knowledge of human needs, wants, and preferences from the fields of psychology, counseling, anthropology, or related field is also valuable.

Conduct internet research on emerging trends in these categories, such as consumer behavior, industry solutions, competitive landscape, etc.
RequirementsProspective intern must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post doctorate students.
AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
