General Summary:

Responsible for preparing shipments to customers and suppliers and receives incoming material to ensure that the parts flow to production floor to meet downstream requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • With the use of ERP system and UPS/FEDEX/DHL applications prepares domestic and international shipments for conveyance to customers and suppliers.
  • Prepares Bills of Lading and verifies accuracy of items being shipped.
  • Works with appropriate personnel to clear financial or export holds on shipments.
  • Coordinates the receiving of incoming materials and verifies accuracy of items being received.
  • Tracks, logs, issues and adjusts inventory which is shipped, received, or consumed by engineering/production needs.
  • Production Order and Subcontractor parts kitting.
  • Inspects incoming and outgoing shipments for damages, defects, records discrepancies and notifies appropriate personnel of issues.
  • Responsible for stock equipment, such as DVD burners, scanners, label printers, scales, etc.
  • Performs routine government filings for international shipments.
  • Manages the inventory stock room.
  • Performs inventory cycle counting and manages an annual physical inventory.
  • Follows established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Must have a proven track record of successful interactions with others as demonstrated through good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic that shows a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, productivity and safety
  • Able to adapt to changing work environments, deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Ability to follow instructions; responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and supports 6S initiatives

Education & Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years of related material handling experience
  • Possess solid mathematical and English skills
  • Computer literate
  • Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner through both written or verbal instructions.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of shipping and packaging procedures.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and UPS/FEDEX/DHL applications.
  • SAP experience a plus
