Role and Responsibilities:

As Product Data Analyst, serving as part of the Product Life-Cycle Management Team, you would be responsible both for building the PLM team’s database and for tackling many of the most challenging data analysis questions yourself.

• Perform obsolescence and parts analysis at the system, subsystem, board, and component levels to evaluate electronic parts for obsolescence tracking and impacts
• Analyze electronic components listed on BOM Manager Tool (Silicon Expert) to identify parts forecast to become obsolete and generate specific product reports
• Perform data analysis for Customer proposals and propose obsolescence mitigation solutions
• Prepare accurate Customer Obsolescence profiles and reports
• Prepare reports documenting obsolescence issues, technical risk analyses and assessments to support business case scenarios
• Use data and analytics to routinely monitor and answer questions on component usage and revenue forecast requirements
• Translate metrics, investigations, and findings into likely business outcomes
• Proactively identify ways to improve day to day responsibilities, such as database structure, report automation, the use of new analytics tools, etc.
• Travel on occasion an estimated 2-3 times per year

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or math-based field 
• 2-4 years of previous experience working on analytics and/or data science teams
• Extensive experience querying large, complex data sets & proven ability to thrive with multiple imperfect, mixed, varied, and inconsistent data sources
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills; able to navigate between multiple projects, meet deadlines, and process ad hoc requests
• Positive and team-oriented "can-do" attitude
• Able to remain flexible and execute autonomously with only general strategic direction, but also work as a part of a team-based on project requirements
• Willingness to take on varied tasks and work to expand skill set in line with business requirements
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP system is a plus
• Experience in manufacturing or supply chain is a plus
