Description

About the Position

The NOC Lead will be responsible for assisting and carrying out the core functions of the 24/7 Network Operations Center located in San Diego, California. The NOC Lead will understand all services provided by the NOC and be capable of training new NOC employees on various workflows and platforms. The NOC Lead will manage systems and schedules associated with the NOC. The NOC Lead will manage shifts of the Hub and be required to work an overnight schedule with the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts. The NOC Lead reports directly to the Sr. Manager, NOC.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of NOC employees to ensure issues are being addressed in a timely manner and client expectations are being managed through proper communications
  • Provide exceptional support and service to AbacusNext VIP customers, when needed
  • Develop rapport with AbacusNext VIP customers and communicate resolution for issues as they arise
  • Log and monitor AbacusNext workflows, and communicate NOC needs, as necessary
  • Provide guidance and training to new NOC employees
  • Manage NOC shifts/personnel as designated
  • Ensure that escalation issues are being tracked and managed until confirmed resolved
  • Establish efficient and balanced workflows that produce high levels of service quality
  • Train and prepare NOC employees to respond to questions and complaints and troubleshoot problems with services
  • Verify that databases are being maintained and proper updates are being made to client site
  • Manage a continuous improvement process that promotes open communication with all departments


Qualifications:

  • Degree in MIS, Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience that includes direct supervision of level 1 and 2 technical staff
  • Sufficient technical background to lead the NOC team, providing 3rd level support
  • Experience utilizing various management tools i.e. Zendesk
  • Experience utilizing and monitoring Nagios is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to problem solves and multi-task effectively in stressful situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Schedule:

  • Friday – Tuesday; 10:00pm – 6:00am
