Position Summary:

  • Provide direct support to internal and external customers on the business's portfolio of products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond to simple and intermediate customer inquiries via multimedia channels.
  • Analyze complaints.
  • Diagnose probable causes.
  • Systematically eliminate alternatives.
  • Provide troubleshooting solutions. E
  • Educate as appropriate.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System. document complaints in accordance with Quality standards. recognize and communicate trends in product issues and their impact on customers.
  • Provide training to internal and external customers as needed.

Accountability/Scope:

  • This position is accountable for the following:
  • Support of the department through administrative and tactical execution of specific tasks as communicated by the department manager;
  • Contribute to short-term, mid-range and long-term organizational goals;
  • Facilitation / resolution of internal and external customer technical concerns. Errors or failures to achieve results may add cost and may impact the goals of the organization.
  • Works under the supervision of more experienced staff who review work for overall accuracy, completeness and sound judgment.
  • Recognizes risks versus the relative gains associated with actions.
  • Understands critical success factors relative to scope of work and makes recommendations and decisions impacting applicable factors.
  • Responsible to meet established objectives and goals; may provide guidance and / or recommendation cross-functionally at all levels of the organization.
  • Drives functional performance to ensure that cross-functional standards and expectations are met.
  • May assist in the training of personnel as directed by management.
  • Manages change control related activities (i.e. Document CR, Legal Control, DFCS, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and demonstrated competence  
  • Typically requires 2-4 years of work experience to develop the competence to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.
  • Candidates / incumbents should possess the following:
  • Ability and aptitude to evaluate complex processes and apply critical-thinking to complete assignments that are complex in nature where judgment and initiative are necessary to resolve problems.
  • Ability and aptitude to determine methods of addressing customer concerns and issues in real-time.
  • Strong customer-focus orientation and skill set.
  • Ability to assimilate complicated technical information.
  • Independent decision-making skills in critical, fast-paced settings.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Ability or aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software to complete tasks.
