ABBOTT LABORATORIES District Manager, Therapeutic Nutrition (Southeast) Salary in the United States

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

Responsible for providing tactical and administrative management for the planning, development and controlling of activities to ensure sales and share increases for the district, while effectively utilizing budgeted funds allocated to all territories within the district and upholding and promoting corporate policies and objectives.

This territory will cover all the majority of GA, north to Chattanooga, TN, all of AL, panhandle of FL, and southern MS and LA. The successful candidate will be required to live in Atlanta, GA.

Major Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, and inspire team of 9 hospital and outpatient sales representatives throughout GA, AL, North Florida, New Orleans and Eastern TN
• Provide direction and focus to team to drive business growth in key hospital markets
• Assist representatives in navigation of complex healthcare networks and hospital systems, including ACO-model, shared-services model, group contracting and care coordination
• Coach sales team on territory opportunities and corporate direction to increase sales reach and depth in accounts; responsible for competency development of representatives throughout tenure
• Conduct work visits and coaching reports, one-on-one calls with representatives regarding territory strategy, and team training calls on a monthly basis as well as semi-annual performance appraisals to ensure goal attainment as well as consistent delivery of initiatives
• Assess territory and market-specific needs and adjust territory boundaries, sales cycle frequency and product promotion as necessary
• Collaborate with multiple teams and leaders across Abbott Nutrition

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent  years of experience)
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals.
• Minimum of 3 years sales leadership experience
• Mastery ability in technical products, sales ability, conduct, written and verbal communication
• Ability to adapt personal style to meet the needs of others
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Demonstrated strength in training
• Demonstrated strength in decision making, teamwork, initiative, driving the business
• Ability to understand and implement field sales directives and management policies.

• Ability to travel up to 50%
