The Abbott Employee Safety Group (ESG) Logistics Analyst is responsible for the formulation and execution of manpower/staffing/resource logistics in support of Abbott’s Travel Safety, Situational Awareness, Executive Protection and Special Event Security Programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Abbott ESG Logistics Analyst is accountable for day-to-day operations and implementation of security manpower/staffing/resource logistics management.

• Reports to the ESG Manager
• Provides support, strategic planning, and logistics coordination regarding all Travel Safety, Situational Awareness, Executive Protection and Special Event Security matters.
• Executes programs to promote safe and secure employee travel, domestic and foreign.
• Implements methods and practices that will enhance personal protection posture of designated Abbott employees.
• Meets regularly/as needed with members of Abbott Global Security  to build and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
• Travels to support protective operations before, during and after designated employee travel, both domestic and foreign.
• Travels to support security operations before, during and after designated special events.
• Liaison with local business, law enforcement and security counterparts as necessary both domestically and overseas.
• Collaborates with various departments, external stakeholders and first responders, in the intelligence gathering and security planning for designated employee travel and special events.
• Available for after-hours response as needed for executive protection matters as appropriate.
• Assists the ESG Program to evaluate personal protection and special event security training as appropriate.
• Other tasks as assigned by the ESG Program  or Divisional Vice President for Global Security.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5-+ years of proven experience in physical security and personal/executive protection; federal law enforcement/military training, or similar with accreditation
• Experience in staffing/manpower/resource logistics planning management
• Experience in emergency response/contingency planning
• Experience in protective advance methodology
• Experience in special event security planning
• Excellent working knowledge of personal/executive protection security protocols and procedures
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
