The Global Market Intelligence Analyst position has responsibility for conducting global sales analysis and establishing consistent sales forecast reporting globally. A key element of this position includes coordinating global unit demand for current products, product phase out and new product timing with our supply chain partners, and reconciling with financial forecasts. In addition, this position will support Global Market Intelligence in tracking and reporting Abbott’s share position and performance metrics that will be used in tactical and strategic business decisions for Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) products.  

The candidate will need to quickly develop understanding of Electrophysiology products, procedures and market dynamics. Essential success factors for the position include attention to detail and high-level analytical skills with expertise in Excel, working under tight deadlines across Finance, Marketing and Supply Chain.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Works closely with geographic partners via matrix (finance, marketing & sales) to align on sales and Abbott share at a country/regional level. Ensure units are accurately captured in global forecasts.
• Ensure unit sales from each geography are aligned with revenue.
• Identify, track and disseminate information on key product changes that are needed for forecast refreshes. This includes current products, phase out and new products.
• Assist in the development of quarterly sales models for Abbott’s financial planning process.
• Collect and maintain information on Abbott procedure dynamics, working closely with Salesforce and commercial excellence teams.
• Assist in developing hospital specific procedure data and sales for establishing metrics and goals.
• Perform independent analyses and create/maintain global models in the areas of product line trends and product mix changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Science, Data Management or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in analyst role.
• Proven ability to translate data to insights.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills required. Use of Excel for data manipulation and complex custom reports.
• Ability to effectively prioritize projects that align with corporate priorities.
• Excellent planning, organization and communication skills.
• Experience in Salesforce/Business Objects/Tableau for access to sales data preferred.
• Medical Device experience preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 10% - both domestic and international.
