The primary function of the Professional Education Manager is to provide strategic & tactical oversight of physician-paid, customer facing training programs. In this role, the Professional EDU Manager will oversee our relationships with physician proctors on contract, their clinical support teams & the sales leaders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized physician education curriculum, focused on blended and multi-touchpoint adult learning.
  • Through collaboration with sales leadership, strategize a development pathway for target physicians.
  • Collaborate with ProfEd colleagues in the management of national Peer-to-Peer education programs, including proctor relationships, field communication, content management, etc.
  • Lead efforts in development of strategic national “Big Box” programs with focus on identification of faculty, agenda, etc.
  • Partner with Commercial Marketing, Commercial Excellence, and Sales Leadership to identify education programs that meet advanced training, trending, and market-relevant needs, within Regulatory, Compliance, and budget guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Education colleagues in development of online customer training portals.
  • Develop communications to EP Field to promote awareness & report value of ProfEd programs.
  • Manage the annual needs assessment process to match educational needs with the available pool of healthcare practitioner expertise.
  • Develop fluency & understanding of Abbott Compliance guideline, travel & spend policies & external regulatory guidelines like the Sunshine Act & ensure all compliance guidelines are met.

General Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of clinical experience in a cardiac field, either as a business associate in Education, Marketing, Sales or Clinical Affairs for a major cardiac medical device company.
  • Demonstrated interest in excelling at continuous process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute on complex business plans in the field of Education, Marketing, or Sales.
  • At least 2 years of working, successfully, across multiple functions in a capacity to influence and drive value delivery to customers.
  • Exceptional communication skills & professional credibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize & manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently; making decisions.
  • Ability to work within a team & as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Modest travel (30%).
  • Bachelor’s degree.
