Primary Function:

As a Manager of Data Analytics within QA, the individual in this role uses his/her technical expertise and in-depth understanding of data analytics to collect, process, analyze and communicate quality related data.  The role is critical in sustaining QA’s ability to appropriately analyze data, detect potential signals for AN product on market (globally) and to understand and use the data to drive quality related decisions. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

• complaint management system ownership
• development / maintenance of analytical tools
• supporting the global AN business for complaint data analysis
• development and implementation of quality complaint strategy for data analytics

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Quality system owner for Complaint Management – Responsible to work with Business IT for system upgrades / issues, communication with business on changes, oversee the budget necessary to ensure system meets regulations and the needs of the business, system access controls / monitoring
• Analytical Tools – Develop and maintain data analytic tools to be used globally by AN Mfg Sites and Affiliates, source complex data, program / coding of data, apply statistics to analyze specific data sets, use Business Intelligence (BI) and related tools to prepare and communicate data, collaboration with business to understand data needs
• Data Analytics Strategy - Learn and apply new techniques/methodologies in the area of data analytics (i.e., machine learning, predictive analytics, automation, etc.) and development and implementation of quality complaints overall strategy for Data Analytics
• Ensure integrity & security of data is maintained and processes related to data analytics are following internal procedures and external regulatory/legal requirements

Position Accountability / Scope:

Position reports to and is accountable to the Global Complaint Manager.  The QA System Analytics Manager position is responsible for supporting the business with the tools / systems for managing and analyzing complaint data.  Complaint data accuracy is key in making business quality decisions for product on market.  Detect potential signals for AN product on market (globally) and compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., US FDA Infant Formula Act) and corporate/division policies. Manage financials for complaint management system – processing PO’s and determining budget.  Potential for direct reports that are responsible for complaint reporting / project management.

Supervisory/Management responsibilities:

Potential responsibility for 1-2 direct reports

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics (or any other related field) - 5+ years of experience in a data analyst position

• Higher education may compensate for some years of experience

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

• Proficient knowledge in Excel / SQL, at least one data visualization tool (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview), and working knowledge and experience with Alteryx, R programming and Data Warehousing
• Experience with applicable regulatory standards and requirements including the Infant Formula Act (IFA), Low Acid Canned Foods (LACF) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is essential
• Apply statistical tools in complaint trend analysis and utilize data analysis methodologies
• Attention to details is critical and capacity to think independently
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and competency in communicating with all levels of the organization
