The Receiving Clerk is responsible for executing the daily receiving schedule. This includes scheduling deliveries of raw materials. The Receiving Clerk reviews all Bills of Ladings for accuracy. He compares the Purchase Order on Bill of Lading with MITS and AMAPS to ensure we receive against correct Purchase Order. The Receiving Clerk is also responsible for tracking all inbounds on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for interacting with drivers from common carriers and the Abbott fleet.
Act as the primary point of contact for truck drivers on all inbound loads delivered to the plant.
Coordinate on time shipments of 10 truckloads per day of raw materials.
Maintain accurate records of all inbound loads to assist supervisor in determining trends and/or possible.
This position has no direct budgetary responsibilities, but the accurate receipt of inbound raw material loads has a direct effect on the company’s bottom line.
The accurate delivery of raw materials to our plant insures that our production lines will not experience downtime and have the materials they need to produce our products.
High School diploma or GED. The candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in material control. A thorough working knowledge of this area is required to successfully complete the assigned responsibilities. This position requires the ability to work through others who are not direct reports.
