The Supervisor, HR Program Administration directly supervises and coaches the day-to-day activities of the Global Program Administration team, with a primary focus on Compensation Administration; as well as ongoing development, hiring, rewarding, performance management and allocation of all specialist/associate resources. The position is also responsible for daily case and project management, customer service, process documentation and knowledge databases, reporting.  Other operational aspects of the Global Program Administration team include determining appropriate level of staffing and training necessary to ensure consistent levels of technical and customer service competencies to support Compensation Program Delivery.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves customer issues by partnering with all Service Center areas, Practice Centers, Business HR, Payroll, and/or legal.
  • Understands business systems (e.g. Workday, CRM) to provide guidance on complex transactions and provides detailed reports
  • Strong background in developing and implementing project plans related to annual and ad hoc projects
  • Identifies and implements process improvements
  • Completes impact analysis and implements changes to processes required based on information provided by the Compensation Practice Center, local Compensation & Benefits and HRTS
  • Manages the administration of annual processes such as Salary Surveys, Merit, Bonus, LTI
  • Delivers training on annual processes in coordination with Senior Compensation Specialists
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel and contract labor resources
  • Determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals
  • Provides guidance to subordinates and peers
  • Recommends changes to policies and procedures
  • Frequently interacts with supervisors, Practice Centers, HRTS and other functional areas to ensure Service Center and Global resources have the tools needed to administer GPA processes
  • Represents GPA on project teams encompassing multi-functional areas and processes
  • Makes decisions based on experience and understands the impacts of the decisions on the team
  • May manage the work of employees and/or teams that are not direct reports
  • Work is provided based on an objective, such as annual bonus administration where details of how to complete the work are not provided and must be determined how the work will get done demonstrating good judgement
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment in situations where ambiguity exists to ensure proper evaluation and impact are determined and accepts risk accordingly
  • Partner with HRTS, Payroll, Compensation Practice Center and local BHR to administer compensation programs and Global Job Description Database
  • Flexibility, consistency and adaptability are necessary due to conflicting priorities

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience, or 10 years of relevant work experience without a college degree. Relevant work experience of 2+ years of prior supervisor, coach, team leader or manager in a shared service center, human resources, project management highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are required.  High-level proficiency in Excel is required. Experience with Microsoft Access is preferred. Knowledge of CompAnalyst and HR System of Records (e.g., Workday, SAP, etc.) is preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail, collaboration, problem solving/critical thinking, organizational skills, independent judgement, time management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
