This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement across in the US IBP Demand Planning process for selected product lines, including development & implementation of strategies to support product launch planning, inventory & obsolescence management, product rationalization and monitoring of key demand planning performance indicators.
Responsibilities:
• Reviews & analyzes historical demand/sales trends and partners with key cross-functional stakeholders to develop a consensus finished goods demand forecast. Challenges cross-functional partners to ensure forecast drivers are identified, understood & mutually agreed-upon
• Facilitate cross-functional IBP meetings to ensure key stakeholders are aligned on finished goods demands based on vetted market intelligence & engineering/clinical requirements. Prepares data & graphs to support the IBP process
• Contributes to phase-in/phase-out processes for assigned product lines. Communicates implementation plans (and relevant changes) to channels consistent with Marketing & integrated business plans
• Maintains reports on sales/demand forecast accuracy.
• Maintains forecasts and planning factors in demand planning system(s) with regard to relationships between distribution locations
• Participates in demand planning system upgrades, enhancements and implementations. Monitors system functions and assures proper interfaces between systems
• Assists management in resolution of problems related to over-/under-shipments and related impacts on service & inventory levels
• Drives continuous process improvements across demand planning & supply chain
• Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Economics or Business Administration required
• 2+ years’ progressive experience in finance or demand planning• Strong written and verbal communication skills w/ ability to prioritize, multi-task & adapt to changing demands
• Strong ability to work seamlessly with & challenge remote/international regions & cross-functional business partners
• Strong quantitative & qualitative analysis & problem solving skills, including comfort working with large data sets
• Proficient or experienced user in the following IT environments: SAP ECC, Logility, IBM Cognos & MS Excel
Preferred:
• Experience in demand planning role
• Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division organization
• Ability to thrive in a geographically diverse & highly matrix business environment
• Ability to partner with multiple business functions to drive improvement in business results & key performance indicators
