Job Summary:

The Special Equipment Operator receives, stores and picks finished products.  Should have knowledge of applicable departmental equipment and systems, such as, Cambar, AMAPS or previous history using similar systems.  Must have and be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of powered industrial equipment (e.g. forklift).  The Forklift Operator is responsible for line support, receiving, loading, unloading and case picking, while maintaining compliance to all GMP, safety and quality guidelines.  Coordinates timely accurate flow of finished products to support shipments to distribution centers and other destinations.  Responsible for loading and unloading of material with the use of a forklift.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform activities related to the receipt, storage, inventory control and shipment of materials
• Use of Cambar radio frequency inventory system, the employee stores, picks or assembles finished product for shipment
• Understands and properly utilizes ship orders and associated warehouse paperwork, and RF terminals for shipping/receiving finished product
• Operation of a forklift truck and forklift with a push-pull attachment
• Knowledge of trailer loading with proper weight distribution
• Compliance with EHS systems, programs and procedures; being accountable for the health and safety of themselves and others by highlighting where improvements can be made
• Routine material handling tasks related to the receipt, movement and shipment of materials and finished goods
• Continually maintain a high level of housekeeping

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Able to read and understand SOP's, policies and other procedures
• Must possess problem solving and good math skills
• Must demonstrate initiative
• Must pass medical surveillance for Powered Industrial Truck Drivers
• Three to five years’ experience in pharmaceutical or nutritional warehousing or manufacturing operations
• Capable of multi-tasking and adaptable to use different computer environments
• A good understanding inventory systems
• Knowledgeable on safe working practices in a warehouse environment and must know GMPs and OSHA regulations
