Position Summary
The General Receiving/Material Control Department is responsible for receiving, storing and staging all packaging materials. Also, responsible for the movement of materials throughout the plant and for supporting/supplying commodities to all manufacturing lines and for the storage of incubated product. The position receives, stores, picks and dispenses raw materials. All raw materials must be properly labeled and received into the MITs system. Coordinates timely accurate flow of materials from warehouse inventory to work-in-process/production areas. Coordinates timely accurate flow of raw materials to support production line activities. Responsible for loading and unloading of materials with the use of a forklift. Understands and properly utilizes MITS and raw material selection to support FEFO.

Material Control is responsible for the total material function at the plant including planning and procurement, receiving, storage of all inbound items and their movement through the plant; production line support; production scheduling; finished product storage; distribution; MRO/stockroom procurement and computerized documentation of the above activities.
Qualifications
This position requires a high school degree or GED.
Must learn machine controls and safety procedures associated with the operation of lift truck equipment and/or attachments. Must become very familiar with shipping, receiving and supply procedures. Must be able to exhibit math and deductive reasoning skills. Must become familiar with product and commodity nomenclature. Must develop an operational understanding and awareness to foster decision making abilities. Must develop the technique required to high stack finished goods. Must be able to learn and comprehend the MITS system. On a continuous basis, coordinate with all production areas the material usage of raw materials to avoid shortages that could stop production. Selection of ingredients or materials based on FEFO. Selection of storage placement. Inventory reconciliation.
