Purpose Statement:

Lead and guide the activities of the Supply Chain Demand Planning team to ensure compliance to Demand Management processes.  Provide leadership and act as escalation point for issues arising at the area/affiliate level.

Partner, negotiate, and influence area/affiliate management to support standard process implementation across Supply Chain and S&OP.  Understand Commercial and Supply Chain Operations to provide support, guidance, education, and training to personnel for Demand Management, S&OP, and forecasting.

Coordinate the consolidation of affiliate level forecasting data and insights to an area/global level, provide operations teams clear and concise understanding of the market intelligence, strategic initiatives, and sales trends that are driving any significant forecast changes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of 5-10 demand planners to ensure compliance to Demand Management processes
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key Operations and Commercial stakeholders
  • Actively participate in the Consensus forecast process in collaboration with Commercial Affiliate teams resulting in alignment across all functions
  • Interface and collaborate closely with Commercial Affiliates to ensure that customer and market intelligence, strategic initiatives, and sales trends are integrated into the forecast
  • Consolidate data and knowledge across demand planning team to support global reporting with an understanding of key business drivers
  • Identifies and executes opportunities to improve Key Performance Indicators
  • Support area level S&OP meetings by attending and establishing working relationships with Commercial Area Directors and Affiliate General Managers
  • Responsible for providing demand analytics to Brand and Therapeutic Area S&OPs
  • Establish effective communication of demand gaps and significant forecast changes to Supply Planning and Brand Managers
  • Partner with Commercial to identify and execute process improvement
  • Drive benchmarking and share best practices to influence change

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, science, or economics preferred
  • At least 8 years prior experience in one or more of the following areas required:  Commercial Operations, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Operations Planning, and Demand Management
  • Desired knowledge of pharmaceutical, integrated business planning, and lean 6 sigma
  • Total combined years of experience required is 10 years
