The ideal candidate is a producer, shooter, or editor who took a step on the managerial track at some point in their career. They will have early career experience reporting, producing, shooting and editing, but have a focus on a managerial/administrative track in their current career. As such, the Coordinating Producer should be able to perform the functions of the producers and editors on the team if needed, but the role has a heavy focus on deputy work in step with the Managing Editor. Fluency in all digital video trends is a must. The Coordinating Producer not only helps run the day to day of the operation, the Coordinating Producer helps shape the content and output of the team.
The Coordinating Video Producer must have an interest in and a track record of editorial excellence in the areas of lifestyle content, including, but not limited to: fashion, beauty, celebrity news, and health and wellness. In addition, the Coordinating Video Producer must be willing to produce content outside of the typical lifestyle lens, including some hard news.
The Coordinating Video Producer has an exciting job — they get to touch every project the video team produces, while also coaching and mentoring a team of highly creative video producers. The Coordinating Video Producer will also take the lead on all branded and sponsored content.
Candidates must be data-driven with audience development experience. The Coordinating Video Producer must understand how videos work across different digital platforms, especially around O&O audiences.
The Coordinating Video Producer must have exemplary communication skills, impeccable news judgement, strong planning skills, and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Coordinating Video Producer will be responsible for pitching and developing new series and formats, particularly for mobile, while managing audience growth targets.
The Coordinating Video Producer will also often be responsible for supervising day to day responsibilities including reviewing videos prior to publishing, managing projects, managing franchises, and an ability to envision long term, brand-moving initiatives.

The Coordinating Video Producer is a key creative member and leader of the Digital Visual Storytelling Unit and the Lifestyle Digital Video Team. The role is based out of the New York office. The Coordinating Video Producer reports into the Managing Editor, Video and serves as a deputy to this position.
