Job Summary:

ABC News is looking for an Executive Editor, News Practices.

This is a Project position and employment will continue on this Project (at the company’s sole discretion), and in no event shall extend past the completion of the Project.

Responsibilities:

Executive Editor, News Practices, is responsible for standards and practices across all ABC News platforms. As part of the news practices group, you will be expected to be able to cover a wide range of ABC News content including Digital, World News Tonight, Good Morning America, Nightline, 20/20, ABC News Live, News One, Early Morning News, Lincoln Square Productions, Radio and special programming. Applicants should have a proven track record of superior editorial news judgment over a period of years in a fast-paced digital and broadcast news environment. This position will require working a night shift and being part of a weekend rotation.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years’ experience
A candidate must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, exercise diplomacy, maintain confidential information, and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the News Division.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior broadcast, radio, long form and digital experience.

Required Education

BA or BS from a 4 year accredited college or university or equivalent experience
