The Account Director is responsible for the overall client management of agency-assigned brands and driving the strategic vision for these brands through trusted partnerships with client senior leadership. Additionally, the Account Director is responsible for overall client satisfaction, account level profitability, and for generating incremental business for the agency both organically and through assigned new business opportunities. Distinctly, the AD manages a brand(s) with minimal oversight and exhibits the ability to develop full strategic plans with a deep understanding of the client business objectives. As the agency lead for assigned business, the AD is proficient in the principles of brand plan development process and should drive this process both externally and internally. The AD establishes trusted partnerships with the client leads for the business by consistently providing strategic guidance and insights on their business. When the opportunity arises, they have the complete ability to conduct brand building conversations and are a primary resource clients look to as the agency’s representative on a strategic and policy level. The AD is experienced in both the brand plan process and AT creative process and should strive to elevate the creative work by developing solid creative briefs, evaluating the creative output strategically, and successfully presenting and selling agency work. The AD leads the orchestration of multi-channel and integrated programs with a deep understanding of ecosystem planning and brand impact measurement. This individual leads the development of and implementation of the annual statement of work (SOW) in collaboration with project management teams and continually seeks ways to appropriately expand and grow the client’s business with AT. They are responsible for the effective and efficient operation of all account service functions for the staff assigned to them and exhibit the ability to delegate and assign responsibilities appropriately. They serve as a leader and role model for their team by helping staff members grow and assuring a vibrant, cohesive staff. The AD is typically assigned to lead one to two specific accounts but may have the opportunity to lead additional smaller accounts.
