The Manager of Financial Investigation Unit (FIU) is responsible for leading a team of Financial Crime Investigators in projects; as well as managing all contract staff. The manager is responsible for investigating transaction activity for the purposes of suspicious activity detection and reporting for clients of Banker’s Toolbox as needed. This manager will provide a high level of service and be responsive to the needs of team members, clients and contractors at a variety of levels of influence within their institutions. This position is a key role on our Professional Services team reporting to the Senior Manager of Professional Services.  

What You'll Do: 

  • Lead a team of Financial Crime Investigators within the FIU. 
  • Responsible for staff hiring, individual and team development, and personnel decisions.  
  • Increase customer satisfaction and promote customer retention through relationship building ansuperior customer service 
  • Coordinate and project manage new Abrigo Advisory investigations projects including the management and training of any outside contract consultants 
  • Ensure all FIU contract requirements and deadlines are met. 
  • Deliver thought leadership and subject matter expertise through marketing channels such as webinars.   
  • Perform Quality Assurance on FIU projects 
  • Develop and maintain written procedures pertaining to the FIU. 
  • Manage Financial Investigations Unit projects as assigned, scheduling and facilitating customer meetings, reporting, and other project requirements 
  • Fulfill outsourced monitoring of BSA automated alerts and cases on a variety of AML monitoring systems for client suspicious activity monitoring services 
  • Create Suspicious Activity Reports on activity deemed suspicious for client to file with FinCEN. 
  • Ongoing monitoring and documented reviews of customers through the client’s Customer Information Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) programs. 
  • Increase customer satisfaction, promote customer retention and reduce customer dependency on the Technical Support team, through excellent education and consulting to our customers and internal staff. 
  • Perform all compliance duties and responsibilities within established scope of authority and expertise, to ensure all regulatory requirements are met. 
  • Responsible for ongoing review and self-education of banking regulatory changes related to BSA/AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act. 

What You'll Need: 

  • 3-5 Years Financial or Banking Industry Experience a must (BSA/AML Compliance preferred) 
  • 2+ years of leadership experience 
  • High School or equivalent education, college preferred 
  • CAMS Certification or equivalent required
