Job Description:

Work Experiences:

Previous food service experience in a restaurant and/or cafeteria setting preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to learn quickly, understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification if and when needed
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to read and follow a recipe
• Excellent cash handling and register skills
• Work an eight hour daytime shift, Monday through Friday
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Communication – effective listening, speaking, and writing

Responsibilities:

• Delivers legendary customer service to all café customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
• Provides high quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that team can locate resources and product as needed.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep café operating to standard.
• Anticipates customer and cafe needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
• Assists with new Team Member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
• Assists with routine kitchen tasks as needed.
• Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules.
• Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
• Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior.
