Job Description:

Education:

• At least six months previous related work experience preferred.

Work Experiences:

• Previous work experience preferred, but not required. 

Skills:

• Ability to read, write, and do basic math required.
• Ability to count merchandise accurately
• Ability to understand computer printouts
• Communication - effective listening, speaking and writing
• Ability to work in mezzanines and/or handling equipment up to 50 feet high required.
• Operate computer - hand held and/or desktop

Responsibilities:

• Load cartons and totes into trailer for delivery to Academy stores
• Set up work area
• Shrink wrap/stage pallets
• Responsible for multiple shipping lanes
• Secure loads to prevent damage
• Arrange cartons on pallets keeping in mind size, weight, height to balance loads safely
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by adhering to sanitation policies and procedures
• Required to learn company policies and procedures
• Required to learn company safety rules
• Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance

• Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
• Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
• Constantly stand, walk,  reach, handle, use repetitive motions (hand/wrist/fingers) and feel; frequently required to stoop, crouch, use fingers, grasp, push, and pull; occasionally required to balance 
• Constantly lift up to 20 pounds; frequently lift 21 to 40 pounds; and occasionally lift 41 to 60 pounds
• Occasionally climb stairs and work in mezzanines and modules up to 35 feet high
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures required 
• Ability to hear and specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus 
• Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior

Other Requirements

This position will require successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
