ACCEL SCHOOLS Billing Supervisor Salary in the United States

The Billing Supervisor is responsible for the functional supervision of billing, grant revenues, and payables for multiple childcare education centers/programs. This role is responsible for the accounting functions and transactions and ensuring that employees work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines. Experience working with multiple state and/or federal funding grants preferred.

Financial Management & Compliance 

• Work with Company leadership to effectively monitor monthly budgets.
• Directly oversee the day-to-day billing operations for the revenue streams (JFS, ECE, Early Headstart, Headstart) and food program (CACFP) departments.
• Manage excellent implementation of the food program that follows USDA policies and procedures across all 10 sites.
• Ensure that center food programs follow USDA policies and procedures.
• Supervises individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance.
• Assembles project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
• Review, evaluate and resolve billing process issues and revenue collections.
• Maintains collaborative working relationships with team and management and communicates system projects, upgrades, and outages appropriately.
• Evaluate and distribute duties within the work area.
• Assist manager with establishing projections and goals.
• Monitor staff performance and quality assurance.
• Assist with or manage special projects.
• Keep updated on all payor changes.
• Prepare monthly reports to manage funding grants.
• Other duties as assigned.

Staffing

• Directly supervise billing and grant reimbursement staff
• Other duties as assigned. 

 Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in direct supervision of billing functions
• Experience with billing and financial management software
• Advanced experience with Excel, and MS software
• Experience with childcare software systems preferred
• Five years’ experience working with government grants
• Early childhood education multi-site operations experience desired.
• Strong working knowledge of federal, state & local laws relating to licensing.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Ability to lift in excess of twenty (20) lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills that always reflect professionalism and tact.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
