ACCEPT Education Collaborative is a regional non-profit educational organization located in Medway and Natick, MA. ACCEPT provides a wide range of programs and services including special education for students with moderate to severe needs, specialized transportation, home-based services, behavioral and educational consultation, and professional development. ACCEPT offers a continuum of programs and services Prek-12 and to age 22 for both students in life skills and Therapeutic programs. Our programs address autism spectrum disorders, emotional/behavioral needs, global impairments, cognitive/intellectual disabilities, language disorders, ADHD/ADD, and nonverbal learning disability.
ACCEPT is seeking dynamic and compassionate Speech and Language Pathologists to work in our Medway classrooms. SLP's will develop and implement programming that aligns with and complements curriculum to support student progress in our academic programs. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in an embedded intervention model. The appropriate candidate should have experience in both the evaluation and treatment of students with speech and language disorders in students ages 3 to 21. Experience with the IEP process is preferred.
Will also give consideration to new grads looking for clinical fellowship.
The speech-language pathologist will be responsible for:
An understanding of students with complex communication needs
Working closely in collaboration with teachers, therapists, BCBAs, OTs, and PTs
Performing diagnostic and treatment of communication disorders
Develop specific performance objectives and write quarterly progress reports
Participate in IEP meetings and consult with the IEP Teams
Conducting thorough assessments of speech and language impairments using standardized and dynamic measures
Provide direct treatment, group or individual, for students in need of therapy services including but not limited to: expressive language, receptive language, articulation, social pragmatic language, executive function, and augmentative communication
