Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Hours: M-F 830 am to 5 pm
Ability to work as an effective team player and the ability to achieve employment outcomes is essential.
In this position, you will conduct job development and job search activities, assist in employability skill development, assist in interviews and resume preparedness, assist clients in obtaining employment, provide individualized follow along supports to assist clients in maintaining employment, provide benefits counseling with assistance of benefits counselor, provide education to family members and employers, negotiate job accommodations when needed and work collaboratively with team members to achieve employment outcomes.
PROS is a community rehabilitation and support program to assist individuals in acquiring and maintaining skills and supports to live successfully in their communities. These include: wellness self-management, benefits and financial management, leisure planning and skill development to manage symptoms and practice life skills. This program offers intensive rehabilitation services to assist individuals in obtaining specific life roles and to reduce the risk of relapse, hospitalization, loss of housing or involvement with the criminal justice system.
Qualifications:
Experience working with people with serious mental illness and experience providing employment services is preferred.
Education:
BA/BS degree in Mental Health, Social Services or Business.
