ACCO Brands is seeking a Channel Marketing Associate to support our Retail and Distributor Channel in Kettering, OH. This role will identify channel-specific product and promotional opportunities for specific accounts. The CMA partners with sales on the marketing, merchandising and promotions needed in support of driving sales of corporate brands.

Responsibilities: 

  • Interacts with Merchandising peers in developing customer-compliant merchandising programs for account-specific products and programs 
  • Coordinates presentation materials, samples and concept boards necessary for specific account meetings 
  • Works with sales representatives in preparing for and participating in customer sales presentations 
  • Works directly with forecasting and order management with each element of the team to ensure timely information is provided, meeting customer complete and on-time measures 
  • Leads weekly customer meetings with cross-functional teams 
  • Assists with analysis of product performance providing recommendations of new items and categories 
  • Monitors competitive product and trend performance to ensure the development of products and programs that will maximize the potential for appropriate accounts 
  • Ability to work with category management, market research and POS data to determine market and product strategies 
  • Assist in developing retailer and e-tailer specific initiatives to drive sell through on and offline with ROI analysis.
  • Carry out in-store and online market audits, including pricing, to feed into strategic planning and pricing processes
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager + Sales/Marketing Manager to manage and execute the Marketing Development Funds for key retailers and distributors. Track ROI of programs and changes as needed
  • Review MAP reports to identify violators of our policy. Enforce MAP and analyze the results.
  • Execute Amazon AMS spend to maintain agreed upon ROAS

 Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Business, Marketing, or a related area of study preferred. 
  • 3 or more years’ experience in a Marketing or Sales role is required. Preferably with a consumer products company.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills – must be comfortable presenting to accounts and senior leadership 
  • Strategic reasoning and critical thinking – analyze wide range of inputs, identify opportunities, develop strategy 
  • Ideal candidate must have the ability to work cross functionally within a matrix organization; influencing decisions, driving the business and inspiring cross-functional teams 
  • Strong analytical skills and must be detail oriented and self-motivated 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%
