Summary: Responsible for routing all outbound freight to assure receipt and delivery as required by schedule and urgency of commitment. 

 Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develops and maintains a positive business relationship with all customers when communicating the scheduling of appointments and solving of problems when they arise.
• Responsible to ensure that customer routing requirements are being adhered to, ensuring open relationship between ACCO Brands and our customers.
• Partner with the associates on the shipping floor to ensure customer requirements are being met and orders are being executed in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate up to date statistical and logistics information on each account.
• Coordinate with Corporate Transportation to obtain freight rates for unrated shipping lanes.
• Maintain daily outbound shipment schedule and follow up with carriers not arriving for scheduled appointments.
• Tender shipments to LTL and TL carriers and monitor TL carrier acceptance of shipment tenders in a timely manner.
• Responsible for communicating any problems associated with customers’ accounts to lead dispatcher and/or customer service
• Review orders and calls ahead to schedule appointments.
• Combines orders to make a full load and puts data into the computer.
• Develop a strong working knowledge of company products, policies, procedures to assure customer satisfaction
• Report all issues, potential issues, customer satisfaction requests and improvement suggestions upwards through leadership team
• Meet or exceed individual, department and company goals
• Performs other related duties as may be required.

 Requirements, Knowledge and Skills: 

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years’ experience with order planning and scheduling of customer freight required
• Ability to work in a team environment (multiple people working towards same/similar goal) required
• Strong working knowledge of PC/Computer Systems including but not limited to Windows and Microsoft Office and Internet required
• Strong verbal skills and written communication skills required
• Demonstrate professionalism and dependability required
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work required
• Ability to work independently and with little supervision preferred
• Working knowledge of user systems Oracle, Access, SAP, SAPTM and AS400 preferred
