ACCO is looking for an experienced Statistical Demand Planning Manager to lead the U.S. statistical forecasting team.  The ideal candidate will leverage their deep understating of statistical forecasting to develop our model-based strategy and improve overall forecast accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the statistical forecasting team responsible for the development of an unbiased and unconstrained forecast over an 18-24-month horizon.
  • Develop and implement a statistical modeling strategy across the U.S. business including model selection and evaluation.  Support approach through data-driven demand segmentation.
  • Provide training and guidance to the broader demand planning team on statistical modeling.
  • Manage cleansed and relevant historical shipment data as key input into the forecast generation process.
  • Implement forecasting best practices and process standardization to achieve customer and internal goals.
  • Support execution of the product life-cycle management process for new product launches, new SKU performance and product exits as it relates to the demand planning function.
  • Lead collaborative sessions with key stakeholders to support monthly S&OP meetings, consensus, outlook, and annual business planning processes.
  • Partner with supply planning to ensure that there is confidence in the demand plan, and that key forecast decisions are being made with the appropriate amount of lead time to ensure successful execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development, modification and adjustment of processes and technologies within the demand planning organization.
  • Develop automated workflows to increase efficiencies and productivity
  • Determine needs and development of reporting necessary for analysis, status updates and exception management.
  • Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement and bench marking with best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four-year degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business, Supply Chain or equivalent directly related to professional experience strongly preferred
  • 10+ Years Supply Chain or Demand Planning experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical modeling and model evaluation
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data into meaningful actionable conversation
  • Proven leadership ability
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Solid judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • SAP APO experience preferred
  • Ability to access and combine data from multiple sources (relational databases, SAP BW, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills
