Achieving True Self (ATS) is seeking an Insurance Authorization Specialist with experience in behavioral health and ABA services. 

ATS is currently providing services in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Previous experience working with various insurances and medical assistance is required. Excellent verbal and written communication is a must for this role. You will be part of the team that is dedicated to bringing crucial services to our clients and their families.

What Qualifications Do I Need to Join the ATS Team?

• Prior knowledge of behavioral health, mental health, or health care authorizations and insurance companies.
• Knowledge of Managed Care Organizations
• Knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
• High School diploma or transcripts.
• Previous experience with CentralReach is a plus but not required

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Be able to smile, laugh, have fun, be silly, have compassion, be present, be open, and make everyday an adventure.
• Knowledgeable of prior authorization requests to insurance companies
• Enter authorization into EMR
• Confirm eligibility of clients with insurance company
• Manage correspondence with insurance companies and consumers as required
• Review accuracy and completion of the information requested and to ensure that all supporting documents are present.
• Collaborate with other departments to assist in obtaining pre-authorizations in a cross functional manner.
• Assist with medically necessary documentation to expedite approvals and ensure that appropriate follow-up is performed.
• Review denials and submit appeals to get them approved from insurance companies
• Implement prior authorization workflow, policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all files for consumers and staff are up to date
• Perform administrative tasks as given by leadership team.
• Be a steward of ATS’s mission, vision, values, and beliefs.
