The Manager, Order & Revenue Management is responsible for leading teams (local and remote) providing Order to Cash and value-added services to existing and potential utility customers. Scope includes product, license, project service and recurring service transactions to help achieve organizational and sales objectives. 

Essential Functions:

Order Management Oversight:

  • Provide direction related to meters and other quotations as required to ensure compliance with SOX and company requirements.
  • Establish and implement processes to ensure accuracy of order/contract entry and compliance with SOX and company requirements.
  • Direct efforts to create and maintain transactions in Salesforce to ensure tasks are properly created and assigned for work completion and billing notification.
  • Direct efforts to ensure compliance with customer purchase order/quote requirements for shipping and invoicing.
  • Ensure delinquent billable cases are addressed and pursue resolution with Technical Services, Account or Project Manager, as needed.
  • Direct efforts to ensure service and 3rd party product line items are properly recorded, updated, supported and invoiced promptly to record revenue in appropriate periods when work has been completed or product is shipped.
  • Provide order-related communication to stakeholders (customers, Aclara Account Owners, Project Managers, Product and Financial Management) as needed.
  • Assist in resolving sales tax issues.
  • Address internal and customer order inquiries and issues. 
  • Manage credit approval and processing.
  • Assure compliance with customer contract requirements.

Other Functions:

  • Provide period end reporting and support for Contract Management, Sales Cutoff, and other transactional areas as needed.
  • Provide operational/financial analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Review and approve customer master account set ups and changes.
  • Review and approve transactions as required by the Authority Matrix.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and certifications at month end.
  • Partner with HRBP to hire, coach and evaluate employees as needed to enhance employee growth and organizational effectiveness.

Value Added:

  • Liaison with Product, Service, Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, Accounting and IT leaders to ensure transactions are processed accurately and promptly; address process exceptions and develop solutions to non-standard issues.
  • Oversee processes to ensure billable transactions properly supported are priced accurately and reflect accurate shipping terms to achieve revenue goals and comply with SOX requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to the customer and other Aclara and Distributor sales associates as necessary.
  • Assist Account Owners and Product Business personnel in developing winning strategies.
  • Provide support as needed to address transactional errors, process improvements and strategic direction.

Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.in Business, Finance or a related field.
  • 10 years’ experience in Business, Administration or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interpret purchase orders and contracts to comprehend specific customer requirements.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to a high level of change.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skill set.
  • Ability to acquire a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment, communications devices, software and contracts.
  • Self-motivated and goal-driven with a proactive attitude.
  • Computer literacy and typing proficiency.

Preferred:

  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • CPA designation or progressive experience in Finance or Accounting Fields
  • Experience in the utility industry.
  • JD Edwards enterprise systems experience and knowledge.
  • Salesforce or CRM system experience and knowledge.

Physical Demand:

  • Frequent sitting.
  • Occasional travel – up to 30%.
