Advanced Rx is currently seeking a Full Time Insurance Verification position in our Tampa location. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for verifying insurance coverage.
• Verifying all necessary payer requirements
• File appeals, if necessary, for claims that are initially denied.
• Responsible for entering accurate data to ensure that the patients benefit, and authorization information is updated in the management system and verify that existing information is correct.
• Assist in the collection process with the reimbursement specialists.
• Assist billing department with insurance questions or issues.
• Perform other duties and special projects as they are assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of experience in health insurance verification, billing and/or health insurance collections or similar experience
• In-depth knowledge of Workers’ Comp and Personal Injury
• Knowledgeable with patient EOBs
• Must be organized, able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects
• Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
• Maintains and conforms to all Privacy Laws regarding patients and practice
• Communicates with professionalism and accuracy and maintains courteous working relationships with coworkers.
