Advantage Medical Equipment is seeking an experienced Driver/Service Tech to deliver and service medical equipment to patients who reside in their own homes, assisted or skilled nursing facilities.  Because we are a healthcare organizations, candidates must have a clean criminal background and a good driving record.  We are seeking someone who is personable, empathetic and neat in appearance.  Many of our patients are just coming onto hospice, so it is important that our drivers/service techs be understanding of the sensitivity of the situation and what the patient and their family is experiencing.  

This position will initially be 8-hour days, 5 days a week with weekday and weekend on-call rotations.  However, there is the possibility of working 4 10-hour shifts with on-call rotations.  The driving radius is approximately 100 miles around Huntley, IL.   We deliver all types of equipment from beds, inflatable mattresses, oxygen machines and tanks, wheelchairs, as well as nursing supplies.

Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Must be willing to have a criminal background check, fingerprinting and be registered as a healthcare worker on the IDPH Registry
• Must pass a DOT physical unless you currently have a DOT medical card
• Must be willing to have a drug screen
• Important to have a pleasant, friendly, compassionate personality and present a neat, clean appearance.  Uniforms will be provided.
