ABOUT ALERSTALLINGS
We are the largest elder law firm in the state of Ohio. We focus solely on asset protection, estate planning, and elder care law. Our clients pay one fee upfront and they receive unlimited calls and an annual check-in and meetings for their lifetime at no additional cost. This ensures our plans work not just when executed, but when they are actually needed. Since our founding in 2010, we have been committed to building stronger client relationships by relying on our unique support-based law firm model. The result is that it has allowed us to quickly grow to 12 offices and be recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the Fast 50 of Ohio and, nationally, in the Inc. 5000 in numerous years.
Our success is a direct result of the caliber of employees we recruit AND our unique business model. We value each of our employees and their input. We are supportive, not only to our clients but to each other. We work together to make things happen. We foster a work culture where employees are generous with their time and knowledge and are willing to coach and mentor each other. And, as a law firm, we provide daily kick-off calls to make sure everyone has the support needed for the day. Also, we run weekly and monthly trainings for all employees! One of our six core values is 4Strong, which to our team means: “You go. We go. Together.”
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A Drafting Paralegal
You are the pistons of our firm’s Estate Planning & Elder Care Law engine. You make us go. Your position has two primary components – (1) drafting legal documents and (2) facilitating successful government benefit applications for the entire state. We don’t go anywhere each day without you and your team.
High sense of urgency, strategic thinking & problem solving are words that get you revved up! You love being an expert on subject matter! With training you will become our knowledge authority - in Medicaid & VA benefit requirements and processes. You’ll take pride in owning and executing successful Medicaid & Veteran’s Benefit Applications – from submission through approval, including appeals. Attention to detail comes natural to you when it comes to draft management – drafting all required legal documentation required for a successful suite of planning documents, start to finish.
Your knack for communicating with others propels you to success as this role relies on the client facing team members to request, receive and deliver the necessary information to you, so that you may complete both the application and drafting components. Constant communication and teamwork are vital to success!
