ALLIED BEVERAGE GROUP Credit Clerk Salary in the United States

Overview

The Credit Clerk performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures.  Maintain records, prepare forms, verify information and resolve routine problems.  A Credit Clerk must apply knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilize a general understanding of other departments' functions.  Work closely with Customer Service, Sales and Warehouse associates.

Responsibilities

• Enter checks into A/R using System i
• Research discrepancies in check remittance and notify customer and credit agent with proper paperwork
• Call assigned customer in reference to discrepancy unpaid to date
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide information to customers, drivers, and salesmen as requested
• Open new accounts per procedures
• Review payment notices and correct entries in CCC
• If necessary, issuing special credit in A/R
• Review post-dated checks for compliance and note System i
• Post delinquent account information into System i as directed by management
• Input data into System i, regarding journal entries, LBD, and SC

• Work in teams monitoring ATM deposits and make application by monitoring and answering an ATM email inbox

• Review special instructions on checks for compliance and note System I

• Monitoring a Credit email Inbox
• Check scanning to Cash Pro for clerk’s individual batches
• Review daily term changes and input data

Qualifications

Minimum:  High school diploma.  PC and good organizational and math skills.

Preferred:  0-2 years experience in Accounts Receivables.
