Position Overview 

The DEAN OF ADMISSIONS brings passion and enthusiasm for higher education and integrative health and wellness demonstrated by their positive interactions with prospective students and ACHS team members. The Dean is responsible for the development, implementation, and successful execution of the institution’s comprehensive admissions recruitment, enrollment, and communications plan that focuses on new and returning student enrollment.  


Essential Responsibilities

  • Chair the Admissions Committee, whose responsibilities include decision-making and evaluation process for recommending new students for admission and reviews materials submitted by prospective students to ensure completeness prior to Committee review.
  • Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan geared to achieve program specific enrollment targets, including email marketing, text messaging, and admissions scripts
  • Develop, track, and report on strategies to increase admissions inquiries and prospects, and move them to become applicants. 
  • Prepare timely reports that informs the Admissions Department and Executive Team about enrollment at the institution, including statistics and analysis for the entire enrollment management funnel, providing data for each stage.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate admissions staff members by promoting creativity and high standards of performance, teamwork, and personal accountability. 
  • Continually research and analyze current higher education markets with goals of understanding trends, forecasting future directions, and identifying emerging markets
  • Liaise with the Dean of Students, Chief Academic Officer, and COO to ensure the on-going success of enrolled students and keep apprised of changes to academic offerings and policies. 
  • Promote the use of new and upcoming technology as applicable with social media, text, web conferencing, and mobile app campaigns.
  • Assist in the planning of ongoing Admissions activities, including open houses and other recruiting events –(logistics, registration, schedule, and speakers).
  • Analyze current procedures on an ongoing basis and operationalizes new procedures or policies when applicable, in coordination with other department managers and/or the Executive Team, with student and graduate success in mind.
  • Attend yearly conferences/expos to promote recruitment for ACHS’s programs and share the ACHS mission and vision.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution 
  • 3-5 years of related experience in College admissions management working with post-traditional, online students
  • Experience and a record of success in achieving enrollment goals for both undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Strong analytical, listening, written, public speaking, and presentation skills required; this position speaks to groups and individuals about our programs and their benefits and may present at staff meetings, graduation, and conferences
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to present information in a factual and ethical manner to prospective students, the public and all stakeholders regarding programs, tuition and fee schedules, refund policy, payment plans, and other college policies and procedures in accordance with the Federal Program Integrity Rules and assures compliance across the Office of Admissions.

This position supervises the following positions:

  • Associate DEAN OF ADMISSIONS / Military Education Coordinator
  • Senior Admissions Advisor
  • Admissions Assistant

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
