Accounting Analyst 

Our Minneapolis team is looking for an Accounting Analyst to support our Global Accounting organization here at Anaplan. We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of accounting operations in a fast paced, growing company. Within the role, the Accounting Analyst will own our global administration process, including sending weekly comp plans, reconciliation of employee data across systems and responsible for level 1 queries from the Field and Operations team. They’ll need strong communication skills as they’ll work with various points of contacts and managers to be proactive in identifying solutions. The Analyst will also oversee invoice approvals, record accruals for cost of sales and assist with processing professional services contracts. Strong organizational skills are an obvious required trait. This role will provide an opportunity to break into Accounting and understanding the complexities within.

What you’ll be doing:

• Review and send beginning of the year annual compensation plans in partnership with Operations teams
• Send new hire, transfer, and amended comp plans weekly throughout the year
• Reconcile employee data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy of monthly commissions inputs
• Respond timely to first level and common commission queries
• Approve partner fee invoices weekly
• Prepare monthly partner fee accruals for cost of revenue
• Assist with processing professional service contracts, billing schedules and revenue schedules in Workday to support monthly close
• Assist with ad hoc projects and processes as needs of the Accounting team change with growth

You have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Public accounting experience desired
• 2+ years of previous technology industry experience in Accounting
• Commitment to process improvements
• Timely and helpful responses to queries

• A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint software applications
• Experience with systems including Salesforce, Workday Financials, Docusign and Anaplan preferred
