Position Overview

The Counter Manager will act as a leader to model upstanding selling behaviors, as well as coach a team to help drive sales and achieve their overall sales goals for retail and service. The Counter Manager will provide day-to-day administrative functions that pertain to driving sales and training within their counter. The Counter Manager will provide the ABH Signature waxing service, as well as abide by all State Laws for Safety and Sanitation pertaining to his/her State Licensure.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for driving sales and executing strategies and initiatives for their Anastasia Beverly Hills counter within Nordstrom to achieve sales goals.
• Responsible for creating, planning and executing ongoing animation and events at the counter to drive retail sales.
• Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with store management, resulting in their increased understanding of the business and aid in the counter’s achievement of successful sales results.
• Perform the ABH Signature Waxing Service on every client. 
• Maintain a neat and organized appointment book. Checking voicemails frequently, prebooking clients for their next appointment as they leave, and keeping the schedule up to date and easy to understand.
• Fill out Daily Business Review daily in order to maintain on track to achieve sales goals.
• Place monthly supply orders for items.
• Create an open and collaborative environment within your team that influences growth and camaraderie.
• Maintain a healthy ratio of service/ABH retail dollars sold and holding the team accountable for the same standards.
• Assist with recruiting, training and developing new esthos at the counter.
• Take personal accountability for the growth and success of the counter by offering feedback to the team, modeling ideal sales and service behavior, demonstrating accurate application tips to translate into sales.
• Uphold all State Laws for Safety and Sanitation pertaining to his/her State Licensure
• Participate in all retailer corporately driven events.
• Report and address inventory stock issues and communicate them in the appropriate way to the buyer, as he/she requests.
• Maintain a solutions oriented mind-set and positive attitude.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years as a Licensed Esthetician/Cosmetologist – proof of Licensure (in the state you are applying) upon hiring.
• Prior experience in a retail selling role.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales through developing teams and providing exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach and develop others
• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management in a fast paced, high growth, changing environment.
• Ability to work independently to prioritize and achieve results.
• Effective planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and some holidays.
• Ability to stand 8 hrs a day
• Ability to execute a waxing service that is preformed standing up while the client is sitting up.
