Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the maintenance and growth of ASI’s inventory, identifying when supplies and materials are running low and placing orders to replenish materials needed.
• Issue purchase orders based on requirements for operations or engineering, and/or forecasted customer demand and R&D projects. 
• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
• Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
• Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Direct and coordinate activities of buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
• Review vendor quotes and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
• Represent Arroweye in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
• Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
• Maintain consistent follow up and communication with Strategic Sourcing Manager

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Minimum Requirement - High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Math/Finance commensurate with work experience a plus.  
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes – strongly preferred. 
• Minimum current three years’ experience working within the purchasing/buying field.
• Must possess proficient or above computer skills.
• Must be proficient or above working with Microsoft Office, experience with Dynamics a plus.

• Thorough understanding of budget management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail orientated, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Able to learn and adapt to varied work assignments.
