Primary Job Role: Responsible for delivering outstanding member experiences by matching members’ needs with the Credit Union’s lending solutions including auto, personal, home equity loans, as well as ancillary loan products. Responsible for interviewing and gathering the needed items for loan approval.

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Maintain an expert-level knowledge of the products offered to provide members with detailed information, and answer questions regarding loan products, rates, etc.
• Conduct initial loan interviews with members interested in consumer loans utilizing high impact questions, logic, and reasoning.
• Gather information in an accurate, clear, and concise manner so that an underwriter can make an informed decision.
• Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of all ancillary products, and recognize opportunities to sell products that best suit the member’s needs.
• Maintain a working knowledge of credit reports to evaluate credit standing, perform needs assessment, and identify competitor buyout opportunities.
• Make recommendations based on credit report analyses to refinance members' existing loans and help them save money.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
• Knowledge of all loan product and processes preferred.
• Proven sales results preferred.
• Must have extensive knowledge of credit union operations, services, and philosophy.
• This position requires the candidate to be energetic and confident, as well as articulate, self-motivated, goal oriented, and well organized.

Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school diploma or GED.
